The UIUC Sophomore Combots team, 120 Slugs, just finished their freshman year competing with FSH, a 30-lb Vertical Spinner. As they approach the 2026 season, they plan to improve FSH’s mechanical and electrical systems, as well as potentially design a new robot to compete with. Although FSH had a fantastic opening competition at Robobrawl 2025, they intend to redesign the weapon’s belt system and continue stress testing the weapon’s electrical parts in and out of combat. 120 Slugs’ robot(s) will be competing again in early 2026.
