2nd Annual iRobotics FLL Scrimmage

iRobotics hosted it’s 2nd Annual FLL scrimmage for local teams to come and practice their robot on the field as well as practice their Core Values and Research Presentation components. We had four teams come out to the John Deere Pavilion in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory on campus. It was a very impactful event, with teams getting in 5-6 scored table runs! We also had generous volunteers come out and judge a core values activity where all the team members have to work together to complete a hands-on STEM activity. This year the activity was building a tower out of straws, paper clips, and tape to hold a piece of paper 5 inches off the ground. Teams got really clever and creative in using all the materials available to them and working together to solve this challenging problem! Teams also practiced giving their research presentation to the attending audience and got constructive feedback. We wish the best to all the teams who attended for their qualifier and state tournaments!
