As many of you know, we came to an abrupt end to our freshman MRDC season due to COVID-19. Despite our disappointment, however, we are proud of how far we came from our first meeting. Since our last post, we have waterjet and built our custom drive gearboxes, designed our initial ball sorting subsystem, gone through setbacks that required us to completely rethink our game strategy and robot design, finished building our drivebase, and built a portion of our ball processing pipeline for MRDC 2020. While we did not get to finish our physical robot, we hope to use the ideas, designs, and components we built/programmed this year to help increase our chances of success next year.
