With the new season underway, junior team Space Jam has begun formulating a design to defeat all the rest. This year, we’re switching gears from our old habits and trying out a vertical spinner combot. Our team has decided on a novel twist in our electronics that will make our bot unique: using a new drive control method known as Field Oriented Control (FOC). This will enable our robot’s drive to output maximum torque at any RPM, which helps us drive much better.
